Movements - Creative Works by D. Bernard Webster

D.Bernard Webster's portfolio is inspired by the dynamism of the human form and sense of energy which can be recreated on a two-dimensional canvas. His 1999 Movement series culminated with a life-size homage to his early inspirations: Comic Books. Once considered child's play, Webster saw the works of Stan Lee and Todd McFarlane as a masterful representations of life in constant motion. He likewise believed these books would one day be considered "Hieroglyphics," giving future civilizations insight into who we are as a twenty-first century culture by examining the way we imagine our best and heroic selves.
